Job Description

A Domestic Assistant in a care home is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Their work ensures that the care home is a comfortable and pleasant place to live, which directly supports the health and dignity of the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cleaning tasks: Regularly cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, and staff areas.
• Sanitization: Disinfecting high-touch surfaces, equipment, and shared spaces to prevent the spread of infections.
• Laundry: Washing, drying, ironing, and returning residents' clothing and household linens.
• Waste management: Safely disposing of general and clinical waste in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Stocking supplies: Refilling cleaning products, toiletries, and other household items as needed.
• Reporting maintenance issues: Notifying the appropriate staff of any damage, hazards, or repairs needed.

Hourly Rate

£12.21 per hour
